Plastic Engineering and Prototyping
Six engineers and two technicians are dedicated to this in our development department. In addition, we work together with engineering firms that contribute their specialized expertise and expand our capacities according to needs.
The Extraordinary Is Our Day-to-Day Business
We specialize in applications which require material properties that are generally not available in the data sheets of manufacturers and compounders. For this purpose, we characterize materials mechanically and tribologically under defined boundary conditions in our own laboratory and carry out a variety of resistance tests. To complement this data, we can test axial bearings and rectangular sealing rings on our in-house component test rigs. We coordinate the loadings closely with our customers.
For the design and construction of components, we use CAD systems (ProE/Creo and SolidWorks), fill and distortion analyses (Moldflow, Moldex) as well as FEM (SolidWorks) for the calculation of components with purely elastic and hyperelastic material models.
In the development process, prototyping is essential for the functional testing. We produce prototypes for our customers using a wide variety of processes. For injection molded prototypes, we use our own tool frames, which enable quick and cost-effective part production from the original materials. Depending on the component properties to be tested, we have flexible access to all other rapid prototyping processes via suppliers.
